Permissions & roles
Where Miwi's role goes, who can use what, and roles Miwi refuses.
Miwi's role position#
Discord only lets a bot manage members and roles below its own highest role. After inviting Miwi:
- Open Server Settings → Roles.
- Drag Miwi above every role it should manage (moderators it may moderate, autoroles, the verification role…).
- For antinuke, put Miwi at the very top — it must be able to act on anyone who attacks.
/setup and /antinuke enable check this before they start, and /owner scan lists anything else worth fixing. Roles Miwi creates for you — the antinuke quarantine role and roles made with Create role in a setup menu — are placed right under Miwi's role automatically.
Who can use what#
Commands need the same permission you'd need to do the action yourself:

Manager roles (set in /settings setup) can use the Manage Server commands without having that permission. Moderators also can't act on anyone with a role equal to or above their own.
Roles Miwi refuses to hand out#
To stop anyone escalating their own permissions, Miwi never gives out roles with moderation permissions (Administrator, Manage Server, Manage Roles, Ban Members…) through autoroles, voice roles, giveaway winner roles or the raid verification role. It also refuses roles above your own.
Extra owners#
The server owner can add up to 10 extra owners with /owner extra add. They are trusted by antinuke, can manage security and receive safety alerts. See Server owner tools.
